Secret study spots

The University has lots of spots that are great for studying, but sometimes a change of scenery outside campus can give you that extra inspiration.

Luckily, Manchester is a city filled with fantastic quirky places to take a book or laptop and find that quiet haven. And you never know…you may even find a new favourite place!

Manchester Museum (M13 9PL)

If you hike up to the top floor of the museum, you will discover a place called ‘The Study’-Manchester’s space for new thinking. This new area consists of galleries, a research space and a study centre. This area is great if you want some cultural inspiration while still being around campus!

Barnes Wallis Building (M1 7JA)

A perfect oasis from the Manchester cold winds, the Barnes Wallis building is located at the North Campus opposite the Joule Library.

They have two floors full of computers alongside a nice cosy cantina and study rooms if you wish something more private.
