Future Services Support

Introduction to the Careers Service

Hello and welcome to your Careers Service. We offer a lot of support and advice throughout your time at Manchester, to help you make the most of your time here and best prepare you for your future. It’s not the case that you can only use the Careers Service if you have a job in mind. Every day we speak to students who are unsure about what they want to do.

You can get face-to-face advice from us in the Atrium in University Place, on general Careers related questions, CV and applications, how to find a job and much more. You can also book an appointment with one of our Careers Consultants who can give you tailored one-to-one advice, whether it’s on finding part-time jobs and internships or helping you to identify your next steps.

Throughout the year we run lots of fairs and events that help develop your skills and build your networks.  There are also plenty of opportunities to meet a variety of different employers on campus, to find out about different industry sectors, and the types of jobs on offer. If you’re thinking about postgraduate or further study after your undergraduate we also offer a range of support and advice on the different courses and funding opportunities.

You will receive regular information and updates on our events and opportunities, through our monthly email and our social media. Make sure you read these updates so you know what’s going on, and how to make the most of your time at University to best prepare you for the future. At Manchester the opportunities available to you are vast so use our expertise to help find what’s right for you.
