The deadline to enter an image in this year’s Postgraduate Research Summer Showcase has been extended to Monday 4th June.
The image competition is open to all postgraduate taught and research students, and is a really interesting way to think about and present your research.
By stripping away all the technical language and leaving behind the core question of your research, an image can allow you to highlight your research’s overall impact without having to explain all the technical details.
The broad theme for images is “Research in Action” and you are free to interpret this theme as broadly as you like.
See Image guidance for more information.
There are three prizes in the category:
- Best overall image – £250
- Runner up – £150
- People’s choice winner – £100
About the showcase
The annual showcase brings together postgraduate researchers for a celebration of the quality and breadth of research being undertaken by our students across the institution.
This years’ event will take place on Tuesday 26 June 2018 in the Whitworth Hall and is your chance to showcase your research, and be in with a chance of winning up to £250.
It’s a great opportunity for you to network and explore interdisciplinary connections, and offers a supportive environment where you can practise presentation skills and gain valuable feedback from both academic and non-academic judges and visitors.
