Looking for something a little bit different to add to your CV to make you stand out? Are you always coming up with new problem solving ideas or are you ready to take on a real world challenge? If so, have a look at the competition below now open for entries.

Venture Out
This annual competition run by Manchester Enterprise Centre is looking for students who have a great solution to a real world problem. You may have an idea that will improve the environment, a plan to enhance social wellbeing, or concept for a new product or service. If so, why not enter Venture Out and see if you could win a cash prize to take your ideas further.

Venture Out is open to all students at the University, and you can enter as an individual or in a team of up to six people. The competition has five categories; business, creative, environmental, social and technology.

The deadline for entries is 12 noon on Friday, 9 November 2018. For more information visit the Manchester Enterprise Centre. 

Duff & Phelps YOUniversity Deal Challenge
The YOUniversity Deal Challenge encourages students to team up with their peers to take on a national case study. The annual competition which began in 2010 challenges students in a broad range of skills including; mergers and acquisitions, disputes, transaction opinions, and valuation advisory. Students work together in teams of two or three to apply their technical reasoning and critical thinking skills to solve a complex transaction related to key stages in business deal making.

Following on from Venture Out, Venture Further will be launching in January 2019. Again run by the Manchester Enterprise Centre, Venture Further is their annual business start-up competition for students at the University. Our version of Dragon’s Den.
