Your chance to shape the design of the new Office for Students (OfS) Taught Postgraduate Student (PGT) Survey

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Office for Students – the independent regulator of higher education in England – is currently designing a feedback survey of students on taught postgraduate courses (PGT survey). The survey is aimed at gaining a broad understanding of students’ experiences and satisfaction with their courses and how the OfS can support their needs. You may have come across the NSS in the final year of your undergraduate studies. This PGT survey is similar in style to the NSS but specifically geared towards PGT students.

As part of this they have commissioned IFF Research, an independent research agency, to test the clarity and effectiveness of the survey questionnaire with current students on PGT courses or recent graduates (at most 12 months since graduating).

How can I help?

Taking part would involve a face-to-face interview that will last roughly one hour at a central location in either London, Birmingham or Manchester in late January to late February. You would receive £40 in cash from IFF Research as a thank you for your time. At the interview you will be asked by one of IFF’s interviewers to complete the online survey. Following this they will ask you some follow up questions about how you understood and answered the questions.

Your answers will remain anonymous and would not be reported in any way that could identify you.

How do I register my interest?

You just need to fill in a very short form to confirm your availability and answer a few questions about you and your course of study. To do so, please click here: https://www.iffresearch.com/surveys/Q6058SQ/

Where can I find out more?

For more information about IFF Research, and this research specifically, you can call IFF on 020 7250 3035 and ask to speak to Sam Whittaker. Alternatively, you can email them on PostgraduateSurvey@iffresearch.com.

Thank you for your help in advance.
