Learning Open Day

Come along to the School of Mathematics Postgraduate Open Day

If you are interested in finding out more about studying for a MSc or PhD in the School of Mathematics at the University, then feel free to come along to our Postgraduate Open Day on Wednesday 27 February 2019. It is free to attend, but please register to help with our administrative arrangements.

The programme for the afternoon is as follows:

14:00 – Registration (Outside Frank Adams 1 & 2, 1st floor of the Alan Turing Building)

14:15 – ‘Introduction to PhD Study’ by the PhD Director Professor Matthias Heil, ‘Introduction to MSc Study’ by the MSc Director, Dr Peter Foster, followed by an introduction to the Postgraduate Programme Directors, in Frank Adams 1 & 2.

15:00 – Refreshments on the Atrium Bridge. This will provide an opportunity for informal discussions about our postgraduate programmes with academics and current students.

16:00 – Close

If you are a potential PhD student who would like to meet a specific academic on the day, please email us at pgr-maths@manchester.ac.uk and we will try to accommodate your request.
