Be Healthy – everything in moderation

Reading Time: < 1 minute

This month we’ve been talking about being healthy. Whether that’s been making sure you’re getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, exercising your brain, or eating nutritious foods, there’s a lot of strands to being healthy.

As with all of the Six Ways to Wellbeing the key thing to keep in mind is that its about making little changes, finding stuff that works for you and fits into your lifestyle. Everyone is different and its not one size fits all – its about what’s right for you, and what works with your schedule. Not everyone needs eight hours sleep to function, and some people need more than eight glasses of water a day to feel hydrated. Figure out what works for you, and go with it.

If you missed our previous articles you can read them here; Healthy Food, Healthy Brain, Staying Hydrated, and Sleep.

It’s not rocket science, but sometimes when we’re concentrating on other things it’s hard to remember to take care of ourselves. Whether we’re pushing through an all nighter, or grabbing a quick and easy snack, we don’t always think about what is best for us.

Another thing to remember is that it’s all about moderation. Not going hard or going home – but setting yourself limits. Looking after yourself includes indulging yourself once in a while – just don’t go overboard, everything in moderation (including celebrating the end of exams).
