Exam Extra launches on 6 January, as the Library brings you extra support to get you through the exam period.
Starting on Monday 6 January, there will be a programme of exam support and time out sessions designed to cope with stress of exams – so why not calm your brain and have a croissant at the start of the day or relax and recharge later on in the afternoon?
There will also be practical academic skills revision support if you drop in to AGLC Training Room from 12pm-1pm or the Revision Support Zone on Blue Ground of Main Library between 12pm-2pm. It’s free and easy to access so you can pop in and ask advice on anything you’re struggling with.
New for this year you will also be able to beat the Monday blues by enjoying a free biscuit and a chat with your fellow students in the Student Wellbeing space on the Ground Floor between 2pm to 4pm, in the Kit Kat Chit Chat events.
Or if you’re Feeling overwhelmed? Join a meditation session using our muse brainwave-sensing headband. These drop-in sessions will be held in the pod on the ground floor of the Main Library.
The sessions will be held on the following dates:
- Tuesday 13th January: 11am-1pm
- Thursday 16th January: 11am-1pm
- Tuesday 21st January: 11am-1pm
- Thursday 23rd January: 11am-1pm
All support sessions and workshops will take place at either the Main Library or the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons. Check out the full programme here.
Extra space, extra hours, extra support
In addition to extra support, all site libraries are offering extended opening hours, extra study spaces and plug sockets and more staff on the floor to help you with any problems.
Digital screens in Main Library and the Learning Commons also let you know where is best to find a space with PC availability – and don’t forget there are a range of libraries on campus if you want a change of scenery or you are struggling to find space.
And, keep your eyes open! Goody bags will be dotted around the Library each week filled with stationery, coffee vouchers and messages of support.
