Thinking about spending a summer abroad? The Summer Schools Fair is back!

Haven’t got plans for the Summer yet? Fancy learning a new language? Then the International Programmes Office may have what you are looking for.

Summer Schools give you the opportunity to study topics outside of your degree discipline in another country during the summer months. Taking part in a Summer School will not only give you the chance to experience a new culture and learn a new language, it’ll also be a great addition to your CV.

If you’re interested in taking part in a Summer School, make sure you don’t miss the Summer School Fair on Tuesday 4 February, between 12-3pm in University Place. At the fair, you’ll be able to find out more information about applying, what the summer schools involve, and also speak to students who have taken part in summer schools previously.

Where can I go?

There are a range of summer schools, available in China, Denmark, France, Japan, South Korea and Spain. You can find out more information about each of the different summer school programmes here.

How do I apply?

Undergraduate students from all degree disciplines can apply, excluding final year students.

To request an application, you’ll need to send an email with your name, student ID, and “SUMMER SCHOOL” in the subject line, to goabroad@manchester.ac.uk.

You can find guidance on applications here.

The deadline for applications is Friday 27 March, however these are earlier for Japan (Sunday 16 February) and Denmark (Wednesday 4 March).

If you have any questions about applications, contact the Go Abroad team at goabroad@manchester.ac.uk or 0161 275 7354.
