Reading Time: 2 minutes

My Future Fest is back for 2020 and bigger and better than ever.

Trying to plan your future can be tough. Whether it’s deciding what you want to do over summer, how to get work experience over the next few years, thinking about what kind of sector you want to go into or actually looking for a job – choices can be stressful. If you need a hand making those all-important decisions, or just figuring out what options you have in the first place, My Future Fest has what you need.

This year, Future Fest is ten days of dedicated careers support to help you prepare for your next steps. Whatever year you’re in or stage you’re at, head to My Future Fest: The Launch to see all the support available. From finding experience to boost to your CV, to specialist careers advice and funding to help support work experience – there’s plenty going on to inspire and support you as you plan your future. Have a look at the full list of exhibitors here.

Other events on during Future Fest include ones to give you practical hints and tips when applying for jobs, help preparing for psychometric and situational judgement tests, and doing well in interviews. There’s a LinkedIn Academy to assist you in creating an awesome but professional social media profile, and there’s also a bespoke session on next steps for Master’s students. But that’s not all, head to the Careers website to see the full list of events.

Brand new My Future Fest Careers Fair

Finally, this year’s My Future Fest will include The Fair on the 17th February – a recruitment event full of employers and organisations promoting their job and career opportunities. Replacing the Grad Fair usually held in May, the Careers Service is bringing over 60 organisations onto campus earlier for you to snap up those opportunities. From grad jobs to placements, work/travel abroad to postgrad study, volunteering and more, this event is for all students who are considering what to do next.

So whether you’re looking for some experience or hunting for a graduate job, make the most of what’s on offer across the 10 days. And as always, The Careers Service team will be on hand to help you with any questions about your future.
