We know that students experience their own unique struggles when it comes to mental health. To highlight this important issue, 5th March is National University Mental Health Day. The aim of this day is to inspire conversations, take action and create change.
To mark this day, we’re running an event in the ground floor event space of the Main Library. It will be open between 10 am – 12 pm and 2 pm – 4 pm. Come along to chill out with mindful colouring and board games or contribute to our Wall of Kindness to help make campus a kinder place.
There will be lots of information on the different kinds of support you can access here at the University. We’ll also have staff from the Student Support and Wellbeing team around to chat about any concerns you may have.
Throughout the month we are also hosting Wellbeing Wednesday events. These will include a range of activities such as Muse Meditation sessions and the chance to charge your device using our state of the art charging bike! Let us know how you’re looking after your wellbeing by tagging us on Instagram, @uomwellbeing, or using #uomwellbeingwednesday.
