We have now completed our investigation into the issue with some Blackboard course units that led to some missing or duplicated content. The fault has been identified and rectified so that no further course units will be affected.

This means that if your course unit is unaffected, you can be confident that it will remain so.

If your course unit has been affected, we will be working with Course Unit Leaders to rectify the problems as soon as we can.

Thank you for your understanding as we strive to restore normal service as quickly as possible.

Original issue: 23 March 2020

We are currently experiencing a problem with some Blackboard course units. In the affected units, some content, assessments and announcements have become duplicated. This means that you may be receiving notifications of new content and/or unit announcements in error.

We completely understand how important Blackboard is to your studies, particularly in the current situation. We are working closely with Blackboard and IT Services to diagnose and correct this fault as quickly as possible, and we’ll provide an update shortly.
