From pizza to paella: 8 of the best store cupboard recipes

Now everyone is doing their part to social distance and stay home, you’ll need to make the most of what you already have in your kitchen cupboards.

We all know that a well stocked store cupboard is going to be your best friend for the next few weeks, so these recipes will be life-savers when you can’t leave the house and don’t want to spend money on yet another Deliveroo.  Here are some ideas for what to cook when relying on what you already have:

Lentil spaghetti bolognese

Flatbread pizza

Making your own flatbread is cheap, quick and a lot of fun too. Customise with toppings of your choice (this one has pepperoni, courgette and onion) and enjoy homemade pizza on a budget.

Chilli con carne

A Mexican chilli is one of our store cupboard saviours and had to make the list! This recipe is one for meat-eaters, but you could replace the meat for more beans or lentils and swap the stock for a veggie alternative.

Veggie curry

An easy, cheap curry recipe  that uses up those tins of tomatoes and coconut milk – plus the leftovers will taste great the next day. Throw in some frozen veg for an extra health kick.

This recipe is perfect for using up some dried noodles and chinese spices in your store cupboard. Again, throw in some fresh or frozen veggies for a healthy boost.
