Your new Student Officer team is here and ready to make your voice heard!

The Students’ Union is led by eight, annually elected Officers, and this year’s officers took up post on the 1st August.

Continuing in his role as the General Secretary of the Students’ Union is Kwame Asamoah Kwarteng. This will be Kwame’s second year as a student leader, after successfully re-running for the position of General Secretary in his year’s elections which were held back in March.

He is joined by a newly elected Women’s Officer, Chenze Ma; Education Officer, Laetitia Alexandratos; Activities and Development Officer, Carol Tirongo; Welfare and Community Officer, Junior Usina; Postgraduate Officer, Nana Agyeman; International Officer, Ecem Yalcin; and Liberation and Access Officer, Yueru Du.

Students’ Union officers represent all students in many areas of University life, and drive the change you want to see. They make sure your Students’ Union works for you, so it’s vital you hold them to account – from asking questions at Senate, to suggesting new policies.

To find out more about your new Officer team, their work, and how you can have your say, follow the Students’ Union on social media – Instagram (@manchester_su), Twitter and Facebook (@ManchesterSU) – or head to the Students’ Union website.
