Pint of Science is usually a three day festival that takes place in cities across the globe that brings scientists to the to the pub to share their research with the public.
This year as with so many other things – it’s going online! Between 7th – 11th September, you can grab a drink in the comfort of your own home, watch talks with different researchers about their discoveries and their lives and join the online chat.
With talks including virtual pigs and hot wiring genes, social media addiction and ‘are we living in a simulation’, as well as a (pub) quiz – there’s bound to be something to pique your interest! For the full line up see the Pint of Science website.
As always, the idea behind the festival is that you don’t have to be an expert; the events are a great chance to (virtually) meet like-minded people with an interest in the world of science and research in its broadest sense.
