You will have heard in the news that the Government has launch a new three tier alert system for local COVID-19 measures across the country. Manchester has been placed into Tier 2 (High Alert) which means households are not allowed to mix indoors, but groups of up to six can meet outdoors and in gardens (providing you are not self-isolating). Shops and gyms also remain open.
I would like to assure you that we already have extensive measures in place to meet the requirements for Universities, and your teaching will be as advised last week, until at least the 30 October.
The Government has made a commitment to keeping school and universities open, and the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff and the wider local community is the University’s primary concern. We will continue to support you in every way that we can.
