Writefest is back this November for Academic Writing Month!
The University is taking part in WriteFest20, a global festival of research writing, that aims to provide you with the space, time and support to write.
The festival aims to provide protected time and space for writing to help you work on developing good writing habits, overcome blocks and protect time in your day to write.
There are lots of events and activities taking place throughout the month to help you think about your writing and how to make it a priority. Something that’s not always possible with deadlines and mounting tasks at work. Writing can be a challenge and many writers say distraction-free, structured time to write alongside others is beneficial.
Events taking place during academic writing month include:
- Shut and Write sessions
- Speed reading
- Writing retreats
- Planning your publication strategy
And many more. We’re encouraging all PGRs to register for at least one of workshops or writing retreats and to take ideas and inspiration from our online resources. See the University’s Writefest20 page for more details.
