New Year will be different for us all this year, and none of us want to see an increase in the infection rate. We each need to continue to do our bit to stick to the COVID restrictions. In Greater Manchester that means:

  • Only meeting socially indoors with people in your household or support bubble.
  • You must not meet socially (in a private garden or at most outdoor public venues), with anybody who is not in your household or support bubble.

For students in halls a household in defined as those who you share a kitchen and/or bathroom with.

Please don’t be tempted to have a party or meet with people outside your household. It could put your family and friends at greater risk. It is only by following the rules and staying safe that we will be able to get back to normality, and for us that means being able to deliver the on-campus teaching and wider student experience you have come to Manchester for. We all need to continue to work together to ensure the safety, security and well-being of our community.

Please look after each other, and do get in touch if you need any additional support.  Don’t forget that your ResLife team is available to help you 24/7 for emergencies over the Christmas period and you can read more about the wider support on offer, on our Christmas support webpage.
