As part of the University’s commitment to listening to postgraduate researchers’ views, we’re launching the 2021 Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES).
If you are eligible to take part, you will receive an email about the launch of the survey this week – you will also find the link in both My Manchester and Eprog.
The feedback from PRES gives us meaningful insight into your experience of being a postgraduate researcher here. Topics covered include supervisory support, research culture, professional and research skills development, wellbeing and mental health and the impact of COVID-19.
This has been a very challenging year for postgraduate researchers and it’s more important than ever to make sure we focus our efforts to improve the postgraduate research experience on the right things.
Please take 15 minutes to give us your views. All responses are completely anonymous. Be honest and tell us how it’s going – listening to your experiences is the best way for us to know what does and doesn’t work. And, because this is a national survey – the only one of its kind – the results give us a broader picture of the experience of PGRs across the UK, allowing us to benchmark ourselves against the sector and identify how to enhance our provision for you and future PGRs.
If you have any questions about the survey and about how we use the feedback to improve your postgraduate research experience, you can email mdc@manchester.ac.uk. You can also check previous results and action plans on our PRES webpages.
