We need you to help shape the future of equality, diversity and inclusion at our University

The University will appoint a new Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in the coming months. Ahead of this, we are consulting students and staff on our new equality, diversity and inclusion strategy and action plan.

As part of this, we are holding two online sessions to give students the chance to input into our work. This is your chance to help us create a strategy and action plan that reflects the values and needs of everyone across our University.

The sessions are open to all current students, both undergraduate and postgraduate. They will be held via Zoom on Thursday 22 April, 4-5pm and Monday 26 April, 3-4pm. You only need to attend one session, and there will be space in each session for up to 50 students.

Our Interim Head of EDI, Mehrunnisa Lalani, and Vice-President for Social Responsibility, Nalin Thakkar, will introduce these sessions. Then the group will split into smaller breakout rooms to discuss your thoughts and what you’d like to see in our future strategy and plans. A member of our EDI team will be on hand to answer any questions and assist your discussion.
