As the new academic year is now fully underway, there’s no doubt that the adverts for careers related events will have already started popping up. Even though you’ve just started back and may think it’s too early to be talking about Careers, the time will pass quickly. Given the changes we’ve seen to the general job market over the past 18 months, it’s a good idea to start thinking about your future sooner rather than later.
Over this semester, the Careers Service will be holding a variety of events and workshops for you to attend to help prepare you for the future. Whether you’re just starting to think about potential career pathways or you’re actively looking for vacancies, now is the perfect time to get some insight into the different sectors and industries out there. You can find tailored advice for the current application process’ for internships and placements, or how you can gain experience and make the most out of your time at University.
During October and November, the Careers Service are hosting a series of subject-specific events which will be packed out with a range of exhibitors and organisations on hand to give you any of the information you need to take the next step in thinking about your career.
