We all know that volunteering is great for you – it’s great for your CV, it’s a great way to meet new people and perhaps most importantly a great way to give something back.
But what if you’re short on time – we know it’s difficult to juggling studying with other commitments, or what if you don’t know what kind of thing you’d like to do or what if you’re just not sure volunteering is for you?
That’s where volunteer days come in!
Volunteer Days are a great way for you to have a go at new activities, meet people and find out more about Manchester and its wonderful community spaces. You can also gain hours toward the Manchester Leadership Programme and the Make a Difference part of the Stellify Award.
They are always one-off opportunities, perfect if you have a busy timetable or want to try some volunteering for the first time. They’re easy to access as transport is provided from campus and there will be staff on hand to support you throughout the day. Take a look at what’s going on this spring:Saturday 26 March, 10am – 12:30pm: Forest maintenance at Wright’s Wood
Spring bulb planting on Quinney Crescent, Moss Side: Tuesday 29 March, 12:30 – 3pm
Paint Party at Partisan Collective: Friday 1 April, 12noon – 3pm
