Join us live from the University’s Whitworth Hall to celebrate how our staff, students, alumni and external partners are making a difference
Tuesday 10 May 6pm – 7.30pm
Everyone is invited to join our Chancellor Lemn Sissay OBE and President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, live online at our University’s Making a Difference Awards for Social Responsibility.
The Awards, which recognise and celebrate the social responsibility achievements of the University’s staff, students, alumni and external partners will be held live on YouTube and Facebook.
After two years of virtual presentations, we’re fortunate to be hosting our 2022 awards ceremony live from the Whitworth Hall, where we will be presenting the winners and highly commended Awards in person. So why not tune in and join our annual event to help us celebrate the many ways in which our University community is making a difference?
The 2022 shortlist includes projects as far ranging as using drones for tuberculosis diagnosis in Nepal, to combatting fast consumerism through building a sustainable student community.
The event is an opportunity for us all to show our appreciation for the positive impact that our University community are having on society and the environment.
This year marks a special year, as Lemn will be hosting his last ever Awards, as the University will welcome a new Chancellor this summer. Tune in to watch Lemn perform his newly commissioned poem live!
Register to join in the celebrations.
