Learning University news

What would your ideal timetable look like? We want to hear from you

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The University is looking at ways in which it can improve timetables for staff and students:

  • We’re aiming to have a timetable that is fairer and more flexible for everyone, makes better use of our learning spaces, and that better meets both your learning and wellbeing needs.
  • We want to get your finalised timetable out to you earlier and give everyone better ways to access their personal timetable.
  • We’re aiming to give you a timetable with fewer clashes, meaning you won’t have as many last-minute changes.

The changes we’re making will come into effect for the 2023/24 academic year, but we need your input now to help shape the outcome.

We’re asking all our students and staff to complete a quick survey to tell us about what things matter most to you in your daily and weekly schedules. For example, if you had the choice would you prefer to start earlier in the day or to finish later? Would you clump activities together or spread them out throughout the week? Have a lunchbreak – or an afternoon with no teaching?

Please take two minutes to tell us what matters to you by completing our Timetabling Priorities Survey by Friday 27 May 2022

Click here to complete the survey.

Your feedback is really valuable; thank you for helping us improve timetables for not only yourself, but also all our future students.
