With exams fast approaching we know this can be a stressful time of year. That’s why we’ve put everything together in one place – from revision and exam support to finding your exam room and most importantly, looking after your wellbeing.

Our commitment to you

We understand that, for some of you, this year will still have been different than expected and this might have brought some challenges. That’s why our assessment commitments remains in place to reassure you of our commitment to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on your studies.

Get ready ahead of time

Alongside studying for your exams, make sure you find the time to get prepared with the practicalities too. Take a minute to read through our exam guidance to make sure you know what is expected of you for both in-person or online assessments.

Do you have online exams this year? If so, make sure that you also take a look at the specific advice and guidance including accessing technical support. It’s important to do this ahead of time so everything goes smoothly on the day. Also, it’s really important that you check that your 2-factor authentication from Duo is fully set up, you will need this to access Blackboard.

Feel confident with our revision support

There’s plenty of support you can access to help you feel prepared and confident as your exams approach. The Library has specialised assessment support, including practical workshops, drop in support and revision guides.

Past papers are a great way to improve your exam technique and you can search by subject for them on the exams website, where you’ll also find hints and tips for revision.

Looking after yourself

The most important thing this exam season? You! We care about your wellbeing and encourage you to look after yourself during this period. We know it can be a stressful time and our student support services are here to help, offering online support to help you manage your wellbeing during the exam period and beyond. Please do reach out if you need to.

The Counselling and Mental Health service are also on hand to help. They are offering a series of free workshops across the exam period including how to manage anxiety and procrastination, strategies for managing exam stress and mindfulness meditation.

Taking a break

As much as it might sound counterproductive, taking regular breaks and time away from studying is really valuable and will help you sit your exams with ease in the long run! Block out time for activities you enjoy. If sports not your thing, we’re also running a series of wellbeing events, which offer a great way to break up your day with everything from Pilates, to mindfulness and board games.
