A Research Lifecycle Programme project is underway to upgrade Research Explorer, the University’s platform for researcher and PGR student profiles.
The upgrade will ensure we are able to continue to provide a supported platform for users, which is easily discoverable and accessible to the public, potential collaborators and partners and prospective students.
The upgrade will introduce some new features to promote UoM research. These include the ability to affiliate work with one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals; the introduction of Fingerprinting, which autogenerates weighted searchable keyword expertise terms; a new image gallery and the ability to embed video content on publications, amongst many more.
Before the upgrade goes live later in the year, we are providing a preview of the changes to all users over the summer months. PGRs will be able to view their new profile, as well as access a range of updated training materials.
For more information on the preview and details of the changes, along with training guides, please go to the Pure Support website or contact the team at pure@manchester.ac.uk.
