What’s your story? We’re recruiting content creators!

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Do you enjoy writing, blogging, or working with social media? Do you have an eye for what makes engaging content? Are you interested in developing your digital content creation skills? This opportunity could be ideal for you.

We’re looking for creative individuals to take on the role as Content Creator throughout the next academic year. Content Creators are responsible for the student-made content that you see on Student News, social media, and in our weekly newsletters.

If selected, you’ll work with student communications and student recruitment teams across the university to create content that reflects your own Manchester experiences.

One of the unique ways we work with our student team is that you drive the direction of the content you create. We want content that gives prospective students a real idea of what it’s like to be a student here, and for current students content that helps them to get the best out of their studies and university experience. From things you’ve learned, to places you’ve been and new things you’ve tried, we really want to hear your story.

As a part of the programme, you’ll get paid for your work and you’ll attend creative development workshops to master your skills. You’ll work closely with the University’s social media team to create content for their various channels and learn from industry professionals specialising in creative, written, and social content.

Take a look at some of the great content our previous Content Creators have produced for our student news site here, and below is just some of last year’s great social and video content:
