As teaching is getting underway, and you are getting into the swing of things, it’s a good time to take a look at My Learning Essentials (MLE). MLE is the Library’s award winning skills programme, designed to support students with their personal development and academic studies.
MLE is for all students regardless of subject or year of study. It combines face-to- face and online workshops with online resources so that you can chose what skills you’d like to develop and chose your preferred learning method. .
The workshops and online resources cover a whole range of academic topics such as essay writing, critical reading, referencing, proofreading and plagiarism. There are also sessions on overcoming procrastination, understanding assignment tasks and planning for revision. There’s regular drop-in sessions and sessions to help you to get to grips with library basics.
