We would like to invite you to take part in the Student Cost of Living Insights Study.
This new study, conducted by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), aims to understand the experiences of Higher Education students. The results will be used by the Department for Education to inform and develop policy.

Follow these steps to take part:
- Go to https://studies.ons.gov.uk/s/StudentCostofLivingStudyW01/ on your computer, smartphone or tablet.
- Complete the study
- Click ‘Finish survey’.
The study will take approximately 15 minutes. The deadline for taking part is 4th November 2022 and taking part is voluntary.
If you do not want to answer some or any of the questions, you do not have to. Most people invited to participate in these studies take part, however, this is entirely voluntary.
This study is confidential
The Student Cost of Living Insights Study is a new study that is currently being developed and the findings are likely to be released later this year. ONS (and any of its partners) will collect information from participants of this study purely for statistical purposes and will keep that information confidential in accordance with all relevant legislation and the Code of Practice for Statistics.
Accordingly, your university will not have access to the information you provide in this survey. During the survey, we will ask if you are happy to be recontacted to take part in future studies and to provide contact details so we can do so, but this is not needed to complete this survey.
