Continuing on from our work to improve the stability of the University network, we have received replacement equipment from our supplier and intend to set it up on 30 November and 1 December.
As a result, there will be disruption to network connectivity for up to 5 minutes on:
- Wednesday 30 November at approximately 3pm
- Thursday 1 December at approximately 6pm and 6.45pm
As with previous work, this will temporarily disrupt access to services connected to the University network, including Wi-Fi, wired network access, email, GlobalProtect VPN, Blackboard, IT login, My Manchester, University websites and more.
Once again, we thank all our staff and students for their understanding while we resolve the ongoing connectivity issues as a matter of priority.
In addition, we’re updating the way our devices connect to the internet on Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 December. While we’re not expecting any impact to service, we will monitor systems closely on these days to ensure work completes as expected.
