Drugs warning: orange ‘flame’ embossed pills

Reading Time: < 1 minute

A drug alert has been issued in Manchester over orange ‘flame’ embossed tablets which are being sold as ecstasy/MDMA.

The tablets have been analytically confirmed by Manchester Drug Analysis Exchange (MANDRAKE) to contain cathinone or 4CMC, a relation to the amphetamine family of drugs, in a higher than normal dose.

MANDRAKE are an organisation based at Manchester Metropolitan University who chemically analyse drugs across the city.

If unwell please seek medical attention.

Support for students who take drugs

The safest way to take drugs is not at all. However, we recognise that a number of students choose to use drugs whilst at university.
