Don’t forget to log your volunteering hours on Volunteer Hub – the deadline to have registered and completed volunteering is 31 May.
This is particularly important for final year students who won’t be able to log their hours after this date. (If you are a final year student. If you aren’t a final year student, it’s still a good idea to start logging your hours now rather than later so you don’t forget about the hours you have completed up to this point.
How to submit your volunteering hours
If you’ve found your volunteering opportunity by applying on Volunteer Hub, the organisation will award you the volunteering hours once you have completed them. It is worth reminding your organisation that you would like your hours recording. Once these hours have been awarded they will appear on your Volunteer Hub account. This volunteering will then be counted towards Stellify (as long as it meets the criteria for the Stellify Award by benefiting the wider community).
If you found your volunteering somewhere other than Volunteer Hub, all you’ll need to do is record this volunteering on the Volunteer Hub yourself. To do this, you will need to register an account on the Hub (if you have not already done so). Then, go in and access ‘My additional volunteering’ on the Volunteer Menu (on the right-hand side of the screen), where you will be able to record your volunteering activities.
Once you have done that the organisation that you have been volunteering with will receive an email generated from the Volunteer Hub asking them to approve your volunteering.
Please inform the organisation that they will be receiving this email and ask them to approve your volunteering.
