Library Living Room update

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Library has made a few changes to the Library Living Room over the last few weeks, with the aim of making it into a more cosy and relaxing space for students to socialise in – like a living room.

We know that the exam and assessment period can be stressful, and we hope that you can use this space to take some time out and unwind; take advantage of the cosy furnishings, and the board game cupboard.

To date we have outlined the area with posterboards and potted palms, placed the board games into a cupboard, and created a student Announcements board. More changes are planned for this space, including painting the walls and adding signage.

There is also an Announcement Board for students to use. The following guidelines should help you understand how to use it.

The ‘Announcements’ Board is a free space for students to post any relevant news for Campus life. For example:

  • Event posters;
  • Socials and Society adverts;
  • Wellbeing information.

Please do not post any political or monetary advertisements, in line with maintaining this as a relaxing, social space. Blu tack for your posters can be found in the Boardgames cupboard.

If you post on the ‘Announcements’ Board, please remember to remove your poster once the event has passed. If any material is deemed inappropriate or outdated it will be removed by Library staff without notice.

We will update you with more changes as they come and if you need any support during the exams and assessment period, the library is here to help.
