Making a Difference Awards
Join us live from the University’s Whitworth Hall to celebrate how our students, staff, alumni and external partners are making a difference
Thursday 11 May 18:00 – 20:00

Everyone is invited to join our Chancellor Nazir Afzal OBE and President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, live online at our University’s Making a Difference Awards for social responsibility and civic engagement.

We’re hosting our 2023 awards ceremony live from the Whitworth Hall, where we will be presenting the winners and highly commended Awards in person. Why not tune in live on YouTube and join our annual event to help us celebrate the many ways in which our University community is making a difference.

The 2023 shortlist includes projects as far ranging as a student-led initiative focussed on promoting the importance of oral health in primary schools, to a project empowering young people to become leaders and change makers within the arts and heritage sector

The event is an opportunity for us all to show our appreciation for the positive impact that our University community are having on society and the environment.

The Awards, which recognise and celebrate the social responsibility achievements of the University’s students, staff, alumni and external partners will be held on Thursday, 11 May, 18:00 – 20:00.
