The Careers Service continue to have online and in-person support available for you this summer to help you navigate your next steps.
Over the summer, there will be both online and on campus drop-ins available each week for all students and recent graduates. The Careers Information and Advice team are on-hand to help answer any questions you may have, with no booking required. Check CareerConnect for dates and times.
Book a one-to-one appointment for personalised career advice and guidance this summer. There’s a range of appointment types on offer, including quick 15-minute ‘Getting Started Appointments’ – perfect for figuring out what’s next, preparing for interviews and assessment centres or getting advice on job hunting. Whether you know exactly what you want to do and need some help getting there, or you have no idea what’s next, we can help.
There are a range of on demand tools you can take advantage of 24/7! Our Get CV Ready Pathway allows you to effectively check your CV and cover letters to make sure you have the best chance of success. If you’ve got an interview lined up this summer, you can also use Shortlist.Me to practice mock interviews at home, whenever it suits you. You can even tailor it to the role or industry you’re interested in!
During August, there will be a programme of mini events designed especially for our final year undergraduate and postgraduate students. Details will be announced during July, so keep an eye on the Careers website and Instagram for more.
Have a question you want to ask? The Careers Service live webchat is available 1pm-4pm Monday – Friday, excluding the August bank holiday. Speak to a member of staff (not a chatbot!) and they can help advise you or refer you to the right place. There are also popular FAQs available for you to search through based on your query.
For more tailored Careers support based on your degree type, you can find support for graduates, taught postgraduate students, and research postgraduate students.
For any further help or support, you can also send your questions via email at careers.info@manchester.ac.uk.
