Updates to your student terms and conditions

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Each year, we review our student terms and conditions for new and returning students.

Since publishing our student terms and conditions for the 2023/2024 academic year, we have carried out a review and identified a small number of changes to be introduced to the terms and conditions document applicable for the 2024/2025 academic year. These changes are positive for our students, and we are pleased to share that the changes identified below will be brought forward so that they apply during the 2023/2024 academic year:

  • Section 9 (Liability) – we have removed the sentence in this section which includes a limit on liability (i.e. “Our liability to you for all loss or damage suffered by you shall be limited to the total amount of the Tuition Fees payable by you to the University whilst enrolled on the Programme at the University.”)
  • Section 10 (Events outside of our control) – the reference to strikes and other industrial action as examples of events outside the University’s control which limit the University’s liability has been changed (and narrowed) to refer instead to strikes and industrial action by non-University staff only.

Terms and conditions for the 2024/25 academic year are available in full here.

Additional documents, including other policies, codes and guidance, can be found on the Regulations website.
