While many of you might have had a bout of fresher’s flu already, with colder weather to come, it’s important we continue to look after ourselves and each other by practising good hygiene:
- Wash your hands – this is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself and others from illnesses.
- Cover your nose and mouth when you cough and sneeze.
If you feel ill
Those with symptoms of respiratory illness should inform their Academic Adviser and stay at home for at least 5 days after symptoms first appear. Try to catch up online if you feel well enough and ask classmates for their notes for any sessions you miss.
Mask wearing
It is not mandatory to wear a mask but if you do wish to wear a mask on campus you can do so; masks can be collected from Student Hubs across campus.
Vaccinations
Vaccination continues to provide the best protection against COVID and other respiratory infections such as flu. Everyone should get fully vaccinated and take up their booster dose if they are eligible.
