UoM’s Assessment Toolkit: available now for all students

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Ever wondered how your assessments are designed? Or whether you can use ChatGPT for your assessments? Then the new UoM Assessment Toolkit is for you – it’s now live and available for every student across the University.

What is the Assessment Toolkit?

The Toolkit has been designed as part of the Flexible Learning Programme, using feedback from over 150 students and staff, gathered across 12 interactive online workshops. It’s an iterative and always-evolving platform, with new information and resources being added regularly, guided by what you want to see.

Resources include: the assessment journey, assessment for flexible learners and accessible assessment – as well as information on feedback, marking and moderation. Whether you’re looking for information on how assessment works at the University, or some tips and tricks during assessment periods, the Assessment Toolkit has you covered.

How can I shape Assessment Toolkit?

We want your feedback on how we can improve and build upon the resources available around assessment and feedback through the Toolkit – is there a resource you regularly use which isn’t currently outlined in the plan? Is there information that you’d like to see readily available, that you think other students, or the staff who teach you, could benefit from?

There’s no suggestion too big or too small. The Assessment Toolkit will only continue to grow and improve with help from our students and staff – it’s for you, and owned by you!

If you have an idea – please contact us at flexiblelearning@manchester.ac.uk. We’d love to work with you on making your idea a reality. Also, don’t forget to ‘like’ any pages of the Toolkit that you find particularly useful – this helps us understand which resources you’re enjoying!
