We’ve had a great response to our intro session for PGRs! If you are a PhD student at the University you will need to use the services of Research IT from the moment you start your research. Join us on the 7th Dec for a short overview session of the services we offer plus the chance to ask members of our team any specific questions you may have about getting started with your research.

Intro to MATLAB Training
There are still some places left on our upcoming MATLAB training on the 5th & 6th Dec (on campus). The training is aimed at those with no previous experience of MATLAB. The training is free for all University staff, researchers and PGRs.

Virtual Drop-in Help Sessions
At Research IT we know how busy researchers and PGRs are, and how talking face to face can be the easiest way to communicate a problem (with software for example!) or a complex research idea. That’s why we hold virtual drop-in sessions so you can talk to our experts about anything research computing related e.g. research software, your own code, research data storage & much more! Join us between 2-3pm on the 22nd Nov. No appointment required – just join the chatroom at any point during the hour!

University R User Group Meeting
The next meeting of the R User Group is on the 30th of Nov 12pm – 1pm and will feature a presentation on R package development. All are welcome regardless of your level of experience with R! The R User Group run a frequent series of events and have a Teams space where queries and questions about R are welcome!
