Wellbeing Dogs (16th)
We know the exam season can be a difficult period, trying to balance work and wellbeing all at once. Your SU wants to support you in this final stretch, so take a break from studying with a visit to see our darling guide dogs! Book your slot and join us in B1 (in the basement of the SU, past the dance studio and round the corner) between 12pm-1.30pm on Thursday 16th January.
Cooking @ Manchester (29th)
MasterChef winner, Simon Wood, would like to invite all UoM students to our first of four free cooking events on campus. The sessions are 50 minutes long, and involve a live cooking demonstration by Simon Wood followed by a Q&A. All attendees will receive a take home digital packon recipes, costing, and nutrition, and a seasoning sample relevant to the recipe.
End of Exams Brunch (25th)
Celebrate the end of exams with your pals, a glass of fizz and full brunch meal at our End of Exams Brunch celebration. Build your own bagels served with a platter of toppings; Vegan, Veggie and Meat options available.

Jurassic World: The Exhibition (till 12th Jan)
Encounter life-sized dinosaurs at the Trafford Centre. Based on one of the biggest blockbusters in cinema history, guests will imagine what it would have been like to roam amongst these breathtaking creatures, and even interact with baby dinosaurs.
The Fourth Wall (till 19th)
HOME debuts a new body of work by artists George Gibson and Grace Collins that focuses on breaking the fourth wall — a cinematic and theatrical device where actors address the audience directly, often by looking straight into the camera.
David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away) (till 25th Jan)
With huge state-of-the-art projections and a revolutionary sound system, this exhibition invites you to experience the world through David Hockney’s eyes. Accompanied by a voiceover from the artist himself, go immerse yourself in some iconic art at Aviva Studios.
Gigs & Live Events
Peter Kay (10th + 11th)
Join comedian Peter Kay as he takes his new live show to the AO Arena for two nights. His brand of upbeat stand-up is bound to leave you in hysterics and be a great night out.
Free Hollywood Acting Class (18th)
Don’t miss the chance to learn from Louis Stancil, a Hollywood acting coach who has worked with talent like Meek Mill, Kandi Burruss, the cast of the Will Smith-produced film “Charm City Kings”.
MCR’s Got Talent! (31st)
Our stage is set to showcase a wide range of talent from our students and societies in Manchester’s 532 Bar + Kitchen. There’ll be music, comedy, dance and more all for free! The best part – you decide who wins. Fancy showing off your skills? Apply here to secure a performance slot. If you turn up on the night we’ll still try our best to fit you in!

Taylor Swift – Era Tour Rhythm Ride (12th)
No, I haven’t put this in the wrong section. This Taylor Swift event at Zeno Health Club invites you to complete a cycling session like no other. Pedal to the beat of Taylor’s biggest hits and feel the rhythm take over your ride. Connect, meet other fans and have the best time of your life!
South Manchester Parkrun (Every Saturday)
If one of your New years resolutions was to get fit than why not sign up for the Manchester Parkrun? Happening each Saturday in various locations across the city, inculding Platt Fields, this free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event invites yout to walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it’s up to you!
