As you may have seen in local news, the adidas Manchester Marathon has announced its new finish line location will be on Oxford Road. As a result, there will be road closures in the area from Saturday, 26 April.
Traffic management planning between the marathon team and the councils and TfGM is currently taking place. Full details, including road closure times, will be made available on the marathon website (alongside an interactive map) in early March. Potential Disruption
For those travelling back to campus after Easter, please be aware that parking in the area may be affected due to event preparations and road closures. It is advisable to check alternative parking arrangements or use public transport where possible.
If you are planning to revise in the library or AGLC, please be mindful there may be some noise disruptions over the weekend. While noise on Saturday will be limited, setup activities will be taking place throughout the day. Sunday will be busier with marathon activities and road closures, so plan your study sessions accordingly.
