Enhancing Digital Wellbeing Together

We are excited to share the insights and outcomes from the recent Digital Peer Learning Network workshop held on 19th March, bringing together students and staff from both Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) and the University of Manchester (UoM). This unique collaboration aimed at discussing and developing resources to enhance digital wellbeing for our University community.

What was discussed?

Participants engaged in activities focused on digital resources and identity with students providing valuable feedback and recommendations. Tabby from the Library Student Team added, “It was a great opportunity for collaboration and conversation between universities. It really got me thinking about the ways our working environments affect our wellbeing and productivity, as well as how to productively improve my digital wellbeing at work and university.”

Jane Mooney, Flexible Learning Digital Skills Workstream Lead, also commented, “We established these annual events to facilitate a supportive development space where students from both institutions can enhance their own understanding of providing peer support around digital capability and meaningfully collaborate. We wanted students to be able to see the impact of their contributions to this year’s digital wellbeing focused event and I’m pleased to say that both institutions are taking forward plans to signpost and develop further support around this essential theme moving forwards.”
