Mental health workshops and groups from April to June

The university’s Mental Health Support Team is running a wide range of workshops and groups for students between April and June 2026. These sessions offer practical tools and supportive environments to manage stress, build resilience, and improve mental wellbeing.

Whether you’re looking to manage anxiety, explore coping strategies, or develop self-care skills, there’s something for everyone. Sessions include one-off workshops like Managing Anxiety, Mindfulness Meditation, and ACT on Low Mood, as well as multi-week groups such as Emotional RegulationUnderstanding Trauma, and autism – or ADHD – friendly self-care programmes.

Workshops take place in person at the Simon Building and Crawford House or online via Teams. Some sessions require practitioner referral (PRO), while others are open for self-referral. Certain workshops are also offered in partnership with My Learning Essentials, providing additional learning support.

Why join a group or workshop?

  • Gain practical skills to manage stress, low mood, and anxiety
  • Connect with peers facing similar challenges in a safe environment
  • Learn strategies for long-term mental health care and resilience
  • Decide what and how much you share, participation is flexible!

You can also join Moving On Groups (MOG), a student-led initiative for ongoing peer support after attending practitioner-led sessions.
