The Stellify Award is changing for some undergraduate students from this academic year.

The new Stellify Award gives you more flexibility to build an award around your interests, skills and future goals. Instead of following a fixed set of activities, you’ll earn points through a wider range of opportunities that help you make the most of your time at Manchester.

What’s changing?

The new award is built around four themes:

• Making a difference – activities that contribute to communities locally, nationally or internationally
• Becoming a global citizen – activities that help you explore your place in the world and understand the issues shaping society
• Developing my skills – activities that help build skills such as leadership, teamwork and communication
• Shaping my future – activities that help you prepare for what’s next after University

Activities include volunteering, careers events, leadership roles, student engagement and skills development opportunities.

You’ll earn points through activities across all four themes, working towards a total of 600 points.

A new home for Stellify

The new award will be managed through Canvas, where you’ll be able to:

• Access guidance about the award
• See which activities count towards each theme
• Upload evidence of your activities
• Track your progress as you work towards your award

Which version of Stellify applies to me?

New undergraduate student?

You’ll work towards Stellify on the new points-based award.

Graduating after July 2027?

If you’re due to graduate after July 2027, you’ll be able to choose whether to:

• Continue with the current version of the award
• Move to the new points-based award

If you decide to move to the new award, activities you’ve already completed as part of the current award can still count towards your progress.

Graduating in July 2027?

Nothing is changing for you.

You’ll continue to complete the current Stellify Award and can carry on working towards it in the usual way.
