What is approved accommodation?

Approved accommodation means that the landlord has signed up to the Manchester Student Homes Code of Standards – giving you piece of mind as well as a great place to live. You can search house listings on their website. 

You’ll also find advice on viewing potential accommodation. Take a look at the viewing checklist before you view a property to make sure you keep an eye out for important details.

Beyond the search

Once you’ve found your new place, the team at Manchester Student Homes can look at your contract to give you extra piece of mind. Their comprehensive contract checking service can be done in-person or by email. Don’t sign anything until you’re completely happy and if possible, you’ve had your contract checked. 

The team also know that understanding deposits is key when renting student accommodation and have a dedicated deposits page to make sure you understand deposits before securing your new home.
