We’re here to help you get ready for Canvas

We know many of you are excited about the move to Canvas, our new central learning environment, replacing Blackboard in September 2025. You’ve told us you’re looking forward to a more modern, user-friendly experience – and we’ve listened.

We’re working hard to make the move to Canvas as smooth and seamless as possible, so you can focus on your studies. Canvas is designed to enhance your digital learning experience, with a clean, easy-to-use layout, improved features, and better integration with the tools you’re already familiar with.

To help you feel confident and ready for the change, we’re creating a student training suite to guide you through the new platform. It’ll include everything you need to get started – from how to navigate Canvas to tips for managing your modules and materials.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as we get closer to launch. In the meantime, keep an eye out for more information and opportunities to explore Canvas before the new academic year begins.

💻 Where can I get support?

From September, you’ll be able to access online support services. In the meantime, help is always available from your faculty’s eLearning team and through the helpful guidance in the Canvas Student Guide.

If you’d like to learn more before September, you can explore the Student Getting Started Resources in the Canvas Student Guide.
