How are you enjoying Canvas?

We hope you’re adapting to Canvas easily in these first few weeks of the new semester.

We’ve heard some great things from students at our start of year engagement stalls. Lots of you have commented positively about how Canvas is user friendly and helping to make your studies easier.

If you’ve not already seen, our Student Support page contains lots of information and guidance to help you get started. We will review this content regularly to make sure it’s relevant for your needs.

Having issues logging in?

We’ve heard some cases of students not being able to log into Canvas yet.

  • International students need to complete the Right to Study process to ensure they have the correct visa to study with us. This process must be completed before international students can access University systems.

The process can take around a week to complete and any student attempting to access Canvas without completing the Right to Study process will see an error message.

  • A small minority of returning students have reported being unable to access Canvas despite having previous access to Blackboard. These accounts have now been reactivated by IT Services and you should be able to log into Canvas. If you are affected by this, please submit a ticket via Connect to get this investigated.

Can I access my timetable in Canvas?

Your personal timetable is not currently available in Canvas and can be accessed via the Timetables page

Download your Blackboard information!

Are you a returning student? Don’t forget you will need to download your Blackboard information before the switch-off this week on Friday 17 October. See here for more details and links to guidance.
