Free Essentials from the Students’ Union
Access pantry items, hygiene products, financial wellbeing workshops and community spaces, all free and open to every student. Find out more about what’s on offer.

💷 Need help paying bills, rent or buying food?
If you find yourself struggling paying for essentials such as food, bills and rent, find out if you’re eligible for help from the Cost of Living Support Fund. You could be awarded up to £2,000, which doesn’t need to be paid back. It’s now even easier to see if you are eligible and apply, with the new online form.
💷 Need financial help to do work experience?
The Work Experience Bursary is for full-time undergraduates doing low paid or unpaid work experience that enhances their career development.
💷 Need money help to be part of a club or society?
The Students’ Union Access to Recreation grant offers up to £300 per year to eligible students to help with the cost of joining clubs and societies, including membership fees, one off tickets and essential equipment.
