Check out our new Digital Equity Charter

We’re excited to announce the launch of the University’s Digital Equity Charter. This is an important step to continuing our journey towards an inclusive teaching, learning and student experience, as called for in the University’s Strategic Vision and Plan, Our Future.

Co-created with the Students’ Union, our Charter sets out our commitment to ensuring that all students have equitable access to computers, software, the internet, study spaces and development opportunities to help you effectively engage with your learning.

In addition to Our Future, our Digital Equity Charter also aligns with our Flexible Learning and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategies to ensure that no student is left behind. This means we have a range resources, services and opportunities available to support you as the University progresses towards realising the ambitions of this Charter.

While it will take time to implement the Charter, we hope you find the following pages with currently available support and resources helpful:

The Charter will be reviewed and updated annually with the Students’ Union to ensure it remains relevant and effective for you.

You also have the chance to provide feedback to help us create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for all your student peers by getting in touch with your Students’ Union Officers at humsofficer.su@manchester.ac.uk and wlofficer.su@manchester.ac.uk.
