Student Safety Event

The Advice and Response Team and Manchester Student Homes are hosting a student safety event on 6th Feb (11-3) in the Foyer of Uni Place.

The event coincides with Greater Manchester Hate Crime Awareness Week and Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week (3-9 Feb).

This is an opportunity for local service providers to speak to students and colleagues in person, around the themes of staying safe, active bystander and speaking up about harassment, abuse and hate crime. We have invited a range of providers to attend, who offer services that aim to educate and support the public around the themes of harassment and hate.

Students and colleagues will be able to find out more about what support is available locally both in the University, and externally. This is an opportunity to re-iterate messages around keeping safe, getting help and speaking out.

Advice will be available for the duration of the event both at the main event at Uni place and in the SU. If you want to speak to us confidentially, we will have access to a private room in the SU.
